LAST DAY!!!!!
Today is the last day of school for 2 weeks!!! I can't believe that half of a year has already gone by. It started out stressful, but now it is very rewarding. I was walking through the hall yesterday when they were having their holiday parties and it was all so cute. It made me want a kid so bad so I could come to holiday parties with them!! Last night I made 2 bundt cakes and sugar cookie dough. I made the Christmas wreath bundt pan and the Hansel and Gretel pan which looks like a gingerbread house. I'm going to decorate them this weekend. I also have the vintage sant bundt pan that I need to make too. I have a thing for cake pans. I have almost every wedding cake pan set that Wilton makes and almost every type of bundt pan or decorative cake thing from Williams-sonoma. I have a problem!! Scott said he would decorate sugar cookies with me, so I'm going to bake them tonight since he has to work until 10:00 and we can decorate them tomorrow. Happy Friday!!

Almost break
Not counting there is only 1 day until the break. I'm so ready. I'm feeling very frustrated today with all kinds of things, so my blog probably won't be very good today. It is all our yoga instructors fault. she wasn't there yesterday so she had this other girl fill in. Nicole is a great yoga instructor, and Pam sucks. Nicole warms us up and stretches us for like 30 min. and Pam does maybe 10. I'm always sore the next day because of Pam. That's why we quit going to her pilates class. It is the most boring and monotonous hour when Pam fills in. She doesn't know enough yoga moves to take up an hour so we do the same old thing over and over and over. We did warrior 1 and 2 five different times throughout our workout. I needed some good stretching and stress relief and I didn't get it. We didn't have it last week because there was no power and we probably won't get to have it next week because it will be the day after Christmas. I'm going to quit teaching and be a yoga instructor. I think I would be a much more relaxed person if I did that.

Less than a week
I can't believe that Christmas is in less than a week. We also only have 2 more days of school not counting today. I'm ready to be able to sleep in! Actually, I'm just ready for the summer break too!! The HGTV dream home is in Florida this year. That's were I need to live. Scott and I can win it and Mom and Dad can move down there with us. Then I can go on cruises all the time because I won't have to pay to fly there!! I'm not feeling very motivated for school today. I'm tired and I have had this nasty cough for like 2 weeks. I told Scott we should have a Christmas party every night until Christmas! It's because my party was so much fun. Here's a list of what I made:
mini pizzas, spinach artichoke dip, shrimp cocktail, Caesar salad bites,Oreo cookie balls, red velvet cake balls, chocolate covered pretzel sticks, chocolate dessert cups filled with french vanilla mousse and topped with a fresh raspberry, chocolate fudge, mint fudge,my snowman candy suckers to match my snowman Christmas dishes and Oprah's pomegranate martini. I ate lots of everything!! Almost everything I made was a new recipe and it all turned out well. I've discovered that I don't really have an interest in cooking dinner and things like that, I prefer making little specialty candies, decorating cakes and things like that. I should be a pastry chef. We grilled steaks for dinner last night and this morning while I was getting ready Lola got in the trash and strung it all over the kitchen. It's a good thing her Daddy wasn't home because he is the major animal disciplinarian and she gets her feelings hurt much more when he gets onto her. Scott has to work on Christmas so I'm starting to feel really bummed about that. Hopefully we'll work out some fun way to do our gifts and stockings. I'm just going to go over to Mom and Dad's because if I spend the morning alone at my house it will just make me depressed.

Electricity and back to work
Well, it's been a while since I've posted. We didn't have electricity for 3 days and then when it came back on our phone didn't work. If I wrote about everything this past week, you would never get done reading it. It was definitely a crazy week. It's amazing how you take something for granted and don't even realize it until you don't have it. No power and sun was really hard, because I think we are all secretly supposed to be living in Florida, because our family doesn't do well without sun. I didn't get to work out for a week, so now I feel fat. especially after all the good food I ate at my party and Deborah's party. My angelfish at school died. I'm very sad because I had him for 2 years. He was probably the biggest angelfish you had ever seen. He was the first thing I saw when I came in my room. My kids had a naming game and named him. I think I will have to get a goldfish for school because they are more hardy. Mom and I did lots of shopping to pass the cold dark days. she finished her Christmas shopping and I did a little for myself. I found a coach purse for 25% off at Dillard's and treated my self to that. Naughty Beth. I also got some other really good deals at New York and Company. Mom and I got our hair cut on Saturday and that night we went to the Nutcracker and then El Chico afterwards. They have half price appetizers after 9:00, so we took advantage of that.It was really hard coming back to school today. not counting today, there are 4 days till Christmas break.

Friday!!
A weird thing happened yesterday. The more I was around my kids, the better I felt. It's just very strange to me because I never planned on teaching very long, but my little kids here are so sweet, that it really makes me wonder if I might do this for a while. Or at least until I have my second kid! After my suggestion our group decided to forgo the gifts and use our money to buy toys for toys for tots. One of my fourth graders said "shit" in class yesterday. What's great about teaching little kids is that they love to tattle on each other. So of course one of the boys from his table comes and tells on him and then I asked the other kid at the table if he heard him say it to. He said yes, so I call the kid up there and asked him if he said it. He said no, then I did a lot of threatening and he confessed. I'm so good! but, while I was lecturing him about how we don't talk that way and all kinds of other stuff I was feeling a little guilty. for those of you that know me well, you know that I have developed quite the potty mouth, so it was like the pot calling the kettle black. I couldn't not gripe him out though. So now I have decided that my potty mouth has got to stop. Plus, Mom told me if I did it around my kids she would spank me in front of them. Last night we bought some awesome toys to donate. I have to drive them to church after school. As of yesterday they still needed 1,200 toys.
I fell in the shower this morning. A couple of years ago I fell out of the shower at Mom and Dad's and the curtain rod hit me in the forehead and I slammed into the wall because their bathroom is so small. This morning I fell back into the shower. It was all Nelly's fault. She has decided that my chap stick is her new toy. The other day she carried one of them off and put it in a shoe in the closet and it took me days to find it. I bought a new Burt's Bees last night and I heard her knock it over on the sink. I had just put shampoo in my hair and I peaked out and she was on the floor with it in her mouth getting ready to run into the closet. I knew I had to save it. We have a deep bath tub with jets in it, so it is kind of a big step. I stepped one leg out and grabbed it from her, and on my way back in I fell. I scratched up the under side of the leg that was out of the shower, bent 2 of my toes backwards and landed on my shoulder. I thought I dislocated it, but it just hurts really bad. The bad thing is that Scott slept on the couch so he could watch TV, so even if I yelled for him to help me he wouldn't have heard it. So I had to lay there for a second and feel sorry for myself and then get up and go on. So right now I hurt all over. What a way to start Friday.

Frustration
I'm feeling very frustrated today. We had our community group last night, and I was enjoying it for the most part, then everything just seemed to bother me. Our group has gotten really big, which is a good thing, but the people who bring food every week don't bring enough for everyone. There were 17 of us last night and we had one casserole dish of pasta, a small salad and one loaf of bread for us all to share. And, the people who were supposed to bring a dessert didn't show up. I never get enough to eat on Wednesday nights, and that is very frustrating. We are having our Christmas party next week. Before Thanksgiving we decided we were going to do 1 white elephant gift and 1 nice $15 gift. Of course, since I'm so prepared I bought it right after we discussed it. Last week we discussed it again and it was changed to a $15 to $20 gift. Then, last night someone felt the need to discuss it again. So it has been changed to no white elephant gift and 2 $10 gifts. One for a guy and one for a girl. My gift was a nice $15 gift set and now I have to go buy 2 more gifts. I don't think it's fair for me to spend more money when you know no one else will. On top of that we have our prayer partner reveal that night and we have to have a $25 gift for them. Then I have a $15 gift for my secret pal at school. I'm not even looking forward to our Christmas party. Then I have my ornament party that Friday. I invited all the girls from my community group. I sent it out a month early before anyone would have plans. Then, I had to ask them in person if they were coming and half of them are now going to different Christmas parties. I just find this to be very frustrating. But, the people who want to be there will be. The less people that come, the nicer food and alcohol I will have! I feel like everyone is focusing on the gifts instead of what really matters. I think I'm going to send an e-mail to our leader and say that instead of buying gifts for each other we should give the $20 as a couple that we were going to spend on gifts and donate it to our church for Toys for Tots, because they still need toys, and it is this weekend. This is what happens when I don't get enough to eat.

Christmas Candy
Yesterday was a good day at school. It seemed kind of long, but it was still a good day. I've been having so many more of those lately. It's kind of nice! When I got home, Mom and I went and worked out and then I decided to make something new for dinner. It wasn't really new, I had just never made it for Scott before. It is the lemon chicken with rice that Mom used to make for us. It was pretty good. I'm having some for lunch today because I'm out of my frozen WW meals. After dinner, (well pretty much while I was cooking dinner too), is when the obsession started. I made a ton of Christmas candy last night. It was easier this time since I had done it before. I made a lot. I even hand painted the Santa suckers. I told Scott not to let me make any tonight. In fact, I even hid all my candy making things in the guest room closet! I'm making chili for us to have for dinner tonight. I think Mom and Dad are coming over too. Then I have to dust for community group. I might not though because they don't use their coasters that I set out for them and then I end up having to clean the glass on my tables twice. I think I'm going to have Scott vacuum though. He was supposed to do the dishes last night and he didn't, so I did them this morning before I left for work so I could have everything out and ready to make chili. I already have all my spices in the pot. I even used my peppermint cleaning kit from Williams Sonoma and cleaned off the kitchen counter. I will say that I knocked over my snowman mug with my peppermint mocha coffee and it went all over the counter. I guess it was because there wasn't that much on the counter to begin with, so my coffee thought it would help me out a little bit. I even used my peppermint dish soap on my pan, my peppermint hand soap and my peppermint lotion. Let's just say that if I walked by you this morning you would want to lick me because I smell so good!
I made these cute pictures yesterday at school. you rip up pieces of construction paper and make pictures out of them. I made a snowman and then I liked him so much, that like everything thing else in my life I made 3 more. Now I have a Santa, a tree and a Rudolph. Hobby Lobby has their frames half off and I told Scott I thought it would be cute if we framed them and hung them in the entry way to decorate for Christmas. He didn't like that idea. I think he thinks they are to childish. I think they look cute. I'm going to have my kids make them to take home. If I figure out how to add pictures I will post them on here.

Well, my weekend is already over. It went by way too fast. I don't enjoy the weekends when Scott works very much. Sometimes I don't mind, but this seemed to be a weekend that I did. Friday we had our holiday gathering, and it was fun. Saturday morning I got up early and went shopping. I got some great deals at NY & Co. a pleasant suprise was a sweater that I thought was full price rang up at $7.99. It was kind of like my three cent cake. They had sent me a coupon for $25 off a $50 purchase. You can't beat that. So, I now have 8 new sweaters this week instead of my 4 from last week. I have a little problem where if I really like one thing my philosphy is that at least 3 or 4 more of those same things in different colors will be even better than my one thing I really like. I do that with pretty much everything. It's something I'm trying to work on! Saturday night Scott went to his parents house and I went over to Mom and Dad's, and we went to Bueno for dinner and came home and watched the Grinch. Scott came and picked me up and he had gone and bought all the fancy liquer to make the Italian Mudslide Martini from Macaroni Grill that I love. We drank it in the tub. It was great! I think I can safely say that our whirlpool bathtub was one of the best investments we have made! But, I think that about my flute, the fireplace, my car and getting all the cats declawed. Sunday Mom and I went to church, but we decided to go to Starbucks first because we had time. So we thought. We sat in the drive thru for like 20 min. and were 5 minutes late. Our seats were still open, we just had to sit a little farther down than usual. The, of course crazy Mema comes in late and instead of sitting next to me she goes and sits on the other side of Mom so she can sit next to her crazy old lady friends. Then some lady's husband came in and instead of them scooting down on their side because there were 2 empty seats, they very loudly (b/c most of them are almost deaf and refuse to wear hearing aids) tell us to move down. They all got pleasant looks. Then we went to Aldi to go shopping and then to Michael's. Michael's is the best place ever. I can officially say that I have a new hobby. I now know how to melt and make those candies that you put in the molds. Mine are Christmas one's and I hand painted mine, so I have to say that they look pretty awesome. so, in the past 2 months I have added making flower arraignments, wreaths and candy to my repertoire of crafty things. I went to Dillard's yesterday evening with Mom and Dad for their discount night. It almost wasn't worth it because the discount is down to 10%, but the Godiva was 25% off. I think I got the rest of my Christmas shopping done though!!

Friday!!
It's finally Friday! Yesterday my day was a little chaotic, but I think it could have been a whole lot worse! I will say that those were the most students I have ever taught at one time. Tonight is the Ladies Christmas Gathering. Mema called last night and said it was boring, there were too many people and the giveaways were crappy. I'm hoping this isn't true, and I'm kind of taking it with a grain of salt because Mema is crazy. She's at that old stage in life where nothing is fun except hanging out with her crazy boyfriend. That's okay though because they can be crazy together. Scott is volunteering tonight to pass stuff out. Hopefully he'll make sure he gives me good stuff! Tomorrow Scott has to work, so I'm going shopping. I have to take my shirt back to New York & Company and buy myself some more sweaters. They're buy one get one half off! Plus I have a coupon. I only shop there if I have a coupon. I have a few other places to go, but I can't write them down because people might figure out what they're getting. I made a Christmas registry online at Coach the other day. Pretty awesome huh? Maybe Santa will get me a little Coach something or other! I got a cake for our teacher luncheon today for $.03. Can you believe that? It was supposed to be on sale for $5.98, but it rang up at three cents so that guy let me have it for that! It's because my sweater was low cut. That makes up for the time I found this giant decorative pumpkin at Hobby Lobby with an unbelievably cheap price on it. It had been misprinted and they wouldn't honor it. The jerks! 14 school days until Christmas break!!!

It's almost Friday!! Tomorrow we're going to the ladies Holiday Gathering at church. Hopefully it will be fun. Last year was a complete disaster. They completely ran out of food and it was too crowded. They are having one tonight and tomorrow night, so hopefully it won't be as crowded. I was just informed that the sub for P.E. isn't going to show up so I have to take half of her classes and the rest will go to music. So, now some of my classes today are going to have 36 kids in them. I only have 36 chairs, so it will be very interesting. I'm trying to have a good attitude about it and not let in ruin my day. Normally it would have, but I have really been working on my attitude and outlook on things. God has blessed me with so much, and more than I even realize sometimes, so I have no reason to get mad about things if they don't go my way. It could be a whole lot worse. Anyone can feel free to remind me of this when I slip up! I can't find my Christmas snow flake charm from James Avery. I always wear it as a necklace at Christmas time and when it gets cold out. I wore it last year, and I have been through my jewelry box twice looking for it. I keep all my Christmas charms in their own separate pouch, so I don't know where it could be. I just don't loose my jewelry, so this is so weird. Deborah is the one who always looses her jewelry. I don't like the way my lighted spiral trees look outside, so I think I'm going to throw them away and put some deer in their place. I had 5 deer and only 3 work now. It was the ice storm that did them in. The lighted trees are pretty flimsy anyways. They are like the white trash version of Christmas decorations, so I can't use them anymore. Well, I have to go prepare for may day of chaos.

New Clothes
My week is going by fast, and Monday & Tuesday went by very smoothly, so hopefully the rest of the week will! I think it helped that I had new clothes to wear! That always makes a difference. I got some really cute sweaters at New York & Company, so I have a new shirt to wear everyday. Except I got this cute fitted half zip fleece shirt and it is too big and they overcharged me for it so I couldn't wear it today. So, I'm wearing a new white sweater with a hood and these khaki corduroy pants I got at Ann Taylor Loft for $19.99. you can't beat that. The cool thing is that I look very nice and professional but I am extremely comfortable! I also got the sweaters in a size small, so that was a big boost for my confidence! Although, I do know that their shirts run big. But, now I have an excuse to go back and buy some more! I need to figure out how to change my background and put pictures on here. Deborah and Lauren have all kinds of cute stuff on their blogs and mine looks really boring.

Well Thanksgiving break was great. Everything about the break was good, so it was hard to come back to school yesterday. I had a good day yesterday, so it didn't make it as bad. There are 17 school days (not counting today) until we get out for Christmas break. The breaks and the holidays are the only reason I am a teacher!! I'm pretty much done with all my Christmas shopping and almost all my gifts are wrapped too. The house is decorated and the lights are all up, so I'm ready for Christmas!! I have two Santas that still need a home somewhere in my house. Scott decided we needed a new TV and the Santas were decorating both sides of the old TV since it was so small. Today is picture retake day and I was gone for picture day, so I have to go get my picture made!

Last Day Before The Break!!
Well, I have finally made it to the official last day before Thanksgiving break! Hopefully it will be a smooth sailing day! We have to take Lola to get her shots after school today. I think we will hurry and try to put out the extension cords on my lights and my inflatables. Maybe the deer and trees if we have time, but who knows. We also have to buy dog and cat food while we're at Southern Agriculture. That wouldn't be worth blogging about except for the fact that we have switched everybody over to Eukaneuba which is like pet food gold. It sure does make their coat shiny though. Sasha needs to be groomed. she's starting to look scraggly and she has a little matt by her ear. She doesn't appreciate it when I try to get it out, so I think I'll let her not appreciate someone else. Lola is easy to bathe. I just stick her in the shower with Scott or me and we wash her! I might make my pumpkin crumb cake tonight. We'll see. I found a weight watchers recipe for a pumpkin ginger chiffon pie, but I don't know if that will be too much pumpkin. I'm making the cake and a pumpkin trifle and Mom is making a pumpkin pie. Personally I think you can never have enough pumpkin anything at Thanksgiving, but that's just me.

The Weekend
We had a busy weekend! Friday when I got home we finished putting up the lights on the house outside. Now that doesn't mean we're finished though. I still have all my inflatables to put up and my deer. Then we went out to eat and I will tell you that the peppermint Oreo mountain at Zio's is to die for. Then we went to the mall and got my Santa paintings and got some gifts for people. All we had time to do when we got home was put the Santa pictures up, then I was worn out and went to bed. Saturday morning I went over to Mom's and discussed Thanksgiving with her and Deborah. Then I had to go to Super Target to get a gift card for the wedding, stuff to make my trifle and extension cords. Then I came home and decorated the tree and put a few more Christmas decorations out. Then I took a nap and got ready for the wedding. We barely made it there on time and Scott sped the whole way down. That makes me nervous. We only got to stay at the reception for about an hour, then we decided on the way home we would go to Starbucks so we could stay awake. We remembered there was one by the Kilpatrick, so we were driving through Nichol's Hills ( a really ritzy neighborhood) and Scott got pulled over. He thought the speed limit was 40, so he was going 39. Apparently the speed limit was 25 even though it was a main street. Then turns out we got new insurance cards in the mail but I thought it was just a letter trying to get us to change our home owners insurance to Allstate, so I didn't read past the first page. So, the only insurance card Scott had was expired, and apparently after you move you have 10 days to get a new license. So, the officer comes back and tells us that it is going to be about $700 worth of fines. By this time I'm about to loose it and he says that since Scott didn't have anything on his record he would let him go with a warning. Let me tell you, God was watching out for us! I told Scott I felt like we had gotten pulled over for a reason, but I didn't know why. So, by the time we get to Starbucks, we're both so awake we don't need any, but we got it anyways. Then we get on the turnpike finally and just a little ways up there were some police cars and turns out someone hit a huge deer and it was all over the road along with their car totalled and nose first into the concrete median. I think we got pulled over to waste time because I think that could have been us that hit that deer. I don't think Deborah would have appreciated peppermint mocha all over her dress I borrowed.
As soon as we got home I found our insurance cards and apparently the one I had in my car was expired too.
Sunday I cleaned the house and finished putting all my decorations out. It looks nice, but not over the top like what I wanted. plus, I need more ornaments for my tree. When Scott got home we took the dogs for a walk and then Mom and Dad came over because we had bought an ornament at Hobby Lobby that looked like a Rolls Royce for Dad. Then we got Rib Crib to go, Scott's parents came over for his Dad's shot and we took a bath and went to bed. I wasn't too sad to go to work today though because tomorrow is my last day this week!!

The beginning of Christmas decorating
Last night we put up our 9 foot tree! It is so awesome. We did have to completely rearrange the living room furniture and temporarily kick out one of my end tables and the lamp that goes on it. The very sad thing about having to do that is that last year it had tons of decorations on it so I am minus some decorating surfaces. We got 3 strands of big lights up on the house and I got lights in all my bushes until we ran out of daylight. Hopefully I will be able to decorate the tree tonight. I don't think I have enough ornaments though because we have like 3 more feet of tree than we did last year. I guess I'll just have to go buy some more! I like the cute glass ones and Hobby Lobby has them all 1/2 off. I also brought in some of my Santas and miniature trees this morning before I left for work. I think I'm a little obsessed, but that's okay. The lights on my tree twinkle so it just looks magical in my living room! I'm trying to convince Scott to let us put up the last 3 strands of lights on the house when I get home from work because it's supposed to be nice out today. I am so glad that today is Friday!!!! We're going out to eat tonight, and hopefully getting my Santa paintings from Kirklands. Tomorrow I'm going to go to the church craft fair and the wedding in the evening, so hopefully during the day I can do some good decorating!

Bye Bye Fall Decorations!
Well I did it. At 9:00 last night the fall decorations came down. I just couldn't take it any longer. The only Christmas thing I had time to put up was my greenery on top of my cabinets with my giant ornaments. I think Scott and I are going to put some of the lights up on our house tonight. I'm going to make myself stick with multicolored. I figure it can look like a gingerbread house if I hang some icicle lights up too. I need to set up my new giant tree with twinkling lights that I bought 75% off last year. I think I am going to have to rearrange the furniture because it is going to be too tall to put in the place where the tree was last year. I'm ready for Friday!! Scott and I are going to Zio's for dinner, and I'm just ready to be able to sleep in and not have to go to school. I've had a headache since Saturday, so I'm ready for it to go away. I think it is from tension in my jaw and neck. I think I just need a good back rub and some tequila and it should help! I think I'm going to make a crab mousse for Thanksgiving and a pumpkin trifle. They will both be new recipes, which is pretty good for me. Hopefully all will go well with that!

Christmas Lights
I went and bought new Christmas lights for our house yesterday. Last year was the first time we have ever had the "big" lights. They were clear ones from Target and one would go out every day, so we decided to buy new ones this year. u took a big leap and bought multicolored lights. I am now seriously rethinking my decision. I have always had clear lights, so I guess the prospect of something new makes me nervous. I really wanted the clear kind that had some red mixed in so my house would look like a peppermint house. They had those, but they were twice as much money and not as long as the others because they are for people who are going "green". I even bought multi lights for my bushes. I'm just worried I guess that multicolored lights aren't very Christmasy. I'm having sushi for lunch today!!! My week gets kind of busy from here. I have a UCTA meeting after school today and community group tonight. I'm supposed to go to the Philbrook for our PLC meeting, but I don't think I want to drive clear across town in rush hour traffic. Friday Scott and I have a date night and we're going to Zio's for dinner and going to try the new peppermint Oreo mountain. Saturday Scott has to work and then we have to drive to OKC for a wedding. It doesn't start until 7:00, and he has to work the next morning, so I think it is going to be a pretty rough not on him. I guess I could volunteer to drive back, but I'm not sure!! I just know that the bus better not be late picking the kids up from school today because I'm getting pretty tired of having to stay 10 and 15 minutes past our contract time. Good thing I'm the UCTA rep!!!

Decorating
I'm feeling kind of blah today. I think it's because the sun isn't shining and I'm being deprived of daylight. 5 school days until Thanksgiving break. (Not counting today) I'm ready to completely decorate my house for Christmas, but I can't because we are having Thanksgiving at my house and I think the pictures would look funny if my house has Christmas decorations all over it. I've been trying to decorate every room but the living room, but I'm done with that and I just don't think I can wait a week. All my fun stuff goes in my living room. Although the guest bathroom does look really cute. I have banned myself from Michael's for the rest of this week. I spend too much money there. Let's just say that my one wreath I had so much fun making turned into 4 wreaths!

Camping
Well I haven't written in a while. Life has been busy. Where do I start? This weekend Scott and I, Mom & Dad, and Richard's family all went camping at Mount Magazine State Park. It was a lot of fun. The leaves were beautiful. We even took the dogs with us and I think they liked it. Although, Lola was terrified of her run that we would stake her down with. It was 20 feet long, so whenever it dragged in the leaves it scared her. I haven't been camping in years, so it was fun for us all to go together. I puked my guts up Saturday night, so that was really the only bad experience!
This past week I have discovered that my new hidden talent is making Christmas wreaths. I went to Michael's on Sunday and had so much fun making one that I went back on Monday and Tuesday. I even made one of those big fancy bows. so, my crafting has gone up to a new level. The Hughes house will have 4 fancy wreaths this year versus the 0 we had last year!! I also put a tree up in the guest room and our master bedroom. The guest room is purple and silver and our room is blue and green. I decorated the guest bathroom last night, so it looks pretty awesome. Although I need to go back to Target to get a red or green trash can because the sea shell one just doesn't match the Christmas stuff.

After Halloween
Well, the Halloween party was great, it just didn't last long enough! Yesterday I took the day off, and Scott had the day off. We went and did some after Halloween shopping for sales at Michaels, Kohl's and Target. We got some good stuff. Our good find was at Target and it wasn't even Halloween stuff. We got our tent, sleeping bags, screened in gazebo and other accessories. We got our sleeping bags half price and the gazebo was 75% off. you just can't beat that. Our tent is a 2 room tent that sleeps 7-8 people. Pretty awesome. By the way, we're going camping on the 10th. We're taking the dogs, so hopefully that goes well. We bought them these things that screw into the ground and have a 20 foot run on them. We went to Abuelo's for lunch, and that was fun. Then we came home and I took down all my Halloween decorations :( i think I'm going to skip Thanksgiving and just go ahead and decorate for Christmas. I'm feeling very Christmasy now. I'm already almost done with all my shopping. I also burned some Christmas music on my computer here at work and brought my Starbucks Christmas travel mug to school today. We're going to the Macaroni Grill with Scott's parents tonight. I have 2 coupons for free appetizers!!! Nelly gets spayed tomorrow, and we're going to the ballet tomorrow. Busy weekend!!!!

Halloween
Halloween has finally arrived! I spent the 3 most boring hours of my life last night at school for parent teacher conferences. did I have any conferences? Of course not! What a waste. So anyways, now this morning I feel like crap and have a temperature. Go figure. I've looked forward to Halloween for forever and this is what I get. Oh well, because I'm leaving work at noon today and I'm not coming in tomorrow! It will be a nice way to recuperate from our Phoenix trip and from Halloween.
I'm going to be a witch for Halloween this year. I'm usually a black cat, but this year I have my own black kitten, so she is going to be my accessory to my witch costume. Sasha is going to be a lady bug and Lola is going to be a skunk. Jerry and Princess have costumes, but I don't think I will force them to wear them. Nelly does have an orange and pink glittery shirt, so she may end up wearing that. She likes to wear clothes because I started her off little! Scott has to work tonight. blah. I'm making chili, Rotel cheese deep, caramel apples, pumpkin seeds, and if I get adventurous I have a jack o lantern cake pan. We'll have to see on that one though. We're going to have black cat cosmos out of these cool flashing cups I ordered off the Internet. We're also going to have some spiced apple cider out of these orange and black Halloween spider mugs I got on sale at Williams Sonoma. I also got the little plates to match the mugs, a serving bowl and a platter. Pretty cool. We're actually not having a big party though. Just Mom & Dad, Deborah & Bryan, and Mema and me. Mary and Gary are party poopers this year and aren't coming. Oh well, it's their loss. Well I guess I should go get ready to teach.

Phoenix
Well, I'm back from my whirwind trip to Phoenix. I just about went crazy getting everything ready for us to go. I had to miss our community group that we host at our house just so I could go get everything done before we went. It started off with Scott and I waking up at 4:00 in the morning on Friday and driving over to get Mom so she could take us to the airport. Security sucks at the airport. Scott wore Adidas pants with zippers that set the alarm off twice, so her got to go get wanded privately! He also got his hair gel thrown away because it was too big. I got plane sick ( I guess that's what you call it) on the flight from Tulsa to Dallas, so that sucked. Dramamine really helped though and then I enjoyed the flight to Phoenix. Scott and I bought a portable DVD player and we watched "Fun with Dick and Jane" on the flight. It was the best $99 ever invested. We got to our hotel before our room was ready so then we had to hang out with Scott's parents and go pick up Scott and his Dads' tux.
By this time I was starving and not feeling very amicable. So, we stopped at this outdoor mall place and ate at The Pink Taco. The hot sauce was really good, and the food was good, despite the name. Then we came back and took a nap and went to the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner. it lasted too long. Oh well, what can you do? Saturday we got up and went to this great buffet breakfast that the Double Tree has. Our room was awesome by the way, but it should have been for $120 a night. After breakfast we went and sat in the hot tub and swam for about an hour and a half. I think that was the most relaxing part of our trip. We saw a hummingbird while we were out at the pool, and I discovered that there were lime trees in the courtyard. So, I stole 2! Scott had to be at the wedding at 2:00 for pictures, then we got there at 3:00. The wedding was small, but the reception site was gorgeous. The reception was long, but we had fun. We got back to our hotel at about 10:00 and madly packed. Sunday morning we got up at 5:00 to fly back. My lotion got confiscated from Phoenix airport security, which was totally stupid because I had already flown twice with it. We made it home at about 1:30, and it was great to be home!!!

10-24-07
Well, I'm already halfway through the work week. Scott and I are flying to Phoenix bright and early on Friday morning for his brothers wedding. So, I've been frantically trying to get everything ready for us leaving and for my Halloween party. Conveniently we have parent teacher conferences from 4:00-7:00 the night before Halloween. So, when I should be preparing for my party I will be sitting on my ass in my room with minimal parentage visiting. Parents never come see the art teacher. Oh well. I'm taking off the day after Halloween, so that will be pretty great. 2 four day work weeks in a row!!!! tonight I'm going to yoga and skipping community group and I'm going to run some errands before we have to leave. Thursday after school we get to go to the Founders Society event at the Tulsa Ballet. Pretty snooty huh? I'm going for the booze (and the Flemings).

Back to work
Well I'm back from fall break. Too bad it's Monday. The only solice I had in coming back to work today was that it is jeans Monday and I had a new shirt to wear. It is also only a 4 day week for me because I'm taking off on Friday and going to Phoenix for Scott's brothers wedding.
Fall break was great, it just wasn't long enough. I spent most of the time being sick, but it was still fun. Tuesday night Scott and I went to Te Kei's to dinner. I was craving sushi. Wednesday I cleaned house and I even made a cake. Thursday I ran around with Mom at Utica Square and some stuff like that. Then we all went to Zio's to celebrate Mom and Dad's anniversary. Friday morning Scott and I and Mom and Dad drove up to War Eagle Mill for the craft fair. That was a lot of fun. We got some Rib Crib to go for dinner then we watched the worst movie ever. "Failure to Launch" Saturday morning I went and got my hair cut and walked around Utica Square some more with Mom. Then I went and took Scott some lunch from Olive Garden. Saturday night Scott and I went to Abuelo's with Mom and Dad and his parents to celebrate everyone's birthdays and anniversaries. Sunday I went to church and then I went grocery shopping at Aldi and Wal-Mart. I got some kick ass huge pumpkins at Aldi. When Scott got home we went to Super Target and got some stuff there and then came home. So, basically I ate some really good food and was mostly lazy, but a little productive. It pretty much affirmed that I need to be a stay at home Mom when we have kids! Anyways, gotta get ready to teach now!

Homecoming, fall break and litter boxes!
I'm wishing it wasn't already Monday and time to go back to work. It's so dreary outside, which makes it worse, but today is technically my Thursday. Thank God for fall break!! Lola was bad this morning and ate who knows what out of Nelly's litter box. It woouldn't have been that bad, but she did it twice. Now, Scott and I are going to have to go get this crazy Budha litter box that the cats can crawl into, but dogs can stick their snouts in.
Scott and I went to TU this weekend with Mom and Dad for TU homecoming. I got a new hoodie, which is cool because I get to wear it to work tomorrow for college spirit day. I think it's supposed to be warm tomorrow though. I well, I'll wear it anyways and just be hot.
