We had a busy weekend! Friday when I got home we finished putting up the lights on the house outside. Now that doesn't mean we're finished though. I still have all my inflatables to put up and my deer. Then we went out to eat and I will tell you that the peppermint Oreo mountain at Zio's is to die for. Then we went to the mall and got my Santa paintings and got some gifts for people. All we had time to do when we got home was put the Santa pictures up, then I was worn out and went to bed. Saturday morning I went over to Mom's and discussed Thanksgiving with her and Deborah. Then I had to go to Super Target to get a gift card for the wedding, stuff to make my trifle and extension cords. Then I came home and decorated the tree and put a few more Christmas decorations out. Then I took a nap and got ready for the wedding. We barely made it there on time and Scott sped the whole way down. That makes me nervous. We only got to stay at the reception for about an hour, then we decided on the way home we would go to Starbucks so we could stay awake. We remembered there was one by the Kilpatrick, so we were driving through Nichol's Hills ( a really ritzy neighborhood) and Scott got pulled over. He thought the speed limit was 40, so he was going 39. Apparently the speed limit was 25 even though it was a main street. Then turns out we got new insurance cards in the mail but I thought it was just a letter trying to get us to change our home owners insurance to Allstate, so I didn't read past the first page. So, the only insurance card Scott had was expired, and apparently after you move you have 10 days to get a new license. So, the officer comes back and tells us that it is going to be about $700 worth of fines. By this time I'm about to loose it and he says that since Scott didn't have anything on his record he would let him go with a warning. Let me tell you, God was watching out for us! I told Scott I felt like we had gotten pulled over for a reason, but I didn't know why. So, by the time we get to Starbucks, we're both so awake we don't need any, but we got it anyways. Then we get on the turnpike finally and just a little ways up there were some police cars and turns out someone hit a huge deer and it was all over the road along with their car totalled and nose first into the concrete median. I think we got pulled over to waste time because I think that could have been us that hit that deer. I don't think Deborah would have appreciated peppermint mocha all over her dress I borrowed.
As soon as we got home I found our insurance cards and apparently the one I had in my car was expired too.
Sunday I cleaned the house and finished putting all my decorations out. It looks nice, but not over the top like what I wanted. plus, I need more ornaments for my tree. When Scott got home we took the dogs for a walk and then Mom and Dad came over because we had bought an ornament at Hobby Lobby that looked like a Rolls Royce for Dad. Then we got Rib Crib to go, Scott's parents came over for his Dad's shot and we took a bath and went to bed. I wasn't too sad to go to work today though because tomorrow is my last day this week!!

If you like the peppermint mocha, try the peppermint white mocha!! So yummy!!
Sounds like you have a very eventful weekend. And Scott is lucky he got off with just warnings. That's God looking out for you for sure! Glad you are both okay.
Oh man, Nichols Hills is the worst speed trap in Oklahoma City! You really are lucky... I'm shocked that the officer just gave Scott a warning.
And, if you hit a deer, the last thing I would be worried about is a dress, silly!
Can't wait for Thanksgiving! Take a tranquilizer before we get there. Ha ha!
