The Weekend

My weekend was productive, but went by in a whirlwind. Friday night we went to a surprise birthday party for one of the guys in our community group, and it was fun to see everyone again. Saturday morning we got up and waited around a little bit because Memaw Betty and Papaw Doyle were supposed to come by and visit, but we decided to run a few errands before they came by. We went to Michael's and I got some more ivy garland for my mantle and table, a shelf for Will's room and a couple of Valentine's Day things. We've been looking at video cameras and we decided to go by a few places to price them. We ended up going with Best Buy. We got the same one that the Texas Penses have. It was advertised as $100 off, and Scott got his bonus money in, so we thought why not do it now and save some money. When we were in line to pay Scott said he thought he had an old gift card in his wallet. He pulled it out and it said it was from 2005. We didn't know if it had any money on it, but i turns out it had $50 on it. Scott said he thought it was a wedding present. I can't believe they honored it after 4 years, but I'm not going to argue with that! Then we went to Abuelo's for lunch and came home because Scott had to go to work. Memaw and Papaw came by later and stayed for a little bit. It was nice to get to see them especially since he's doing bad. I went to Mom and Dad's after they left because I was depressed. I hung out with them, ate dinner watched some TV and went home. Sunday morning Scott's work called him in and he worked a double shift, so I went to church without him, and went grocery shopping too. I went to Lowe's and bought the paint for Will's room. I'm so excited because Scott is off today and he's going to start painting!!!!!! I took down all the decorations except for my 3 trees. It was a lot of work. I made some homemade minestrone soup for this week for dinner. I decided to treat myself to a bath. When I was in there Will started kicking and making the water move! I could even see my belly moving a little bit. Scott was excited when I told him, because maybe now he can feel him kick. I made some yummy Sprinkles chocolate mint cupcakes too. Sunday was a productive day for me! When Scott came home from work last night it woke everybody up and since Lola is such a good watchdog she was going crazy. She even woke Will up and he kicked a little bit and then went back to sleep. We're going to have to work on her barking so she doesn't wake him up when he's here.
