Thursday

This morning there was some kind of a newt or salamander on our porch. Scott went to take the trash out and he called me out there. He was so cute! I don't know what he was doing there. All the storms could have freaked him out or something. I moved him to the flower bed. Today needed to be Friday. I feel very tired and emotionally drained from being at the court house yesterday. It is amazing how much Uncle Bill's death and the greed has torn everyone apart. I guess the other side has told themselves this lie for so long that they actually believe it. I'm not surprised about Lydia, but the fact that Donna and Shirley flat out lied about everything amazes me. The solice I have in it is that they will have to atone for it. Yesterday when I got up to take my shower I kept thinking of one of the verses I learned in my bible study this summer:

Philippians 4:6-7
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

We were gone so long yesterday that we only had time to go home and feed the dogs before we went to community group. WE had part of our Wii bowling playoff. I bowled a 172. I was winning, but the guy who owns it got a 179. There are 3 other playoff games, but if no one else besides the winners gets that high I will be the wild card! It was going fine and then all of the sudden the tornado sirens started going off. Everyone took off to the church to get their kids. Most of them came back because the church was so close. The lights kept going off, and it was actually kind of scary for a while. WE all held hands and prayed, which was very comforting. When things like that happen at someone elses house it is crazy. But, there was no tornado and none of our houses were damaged, so we're all good. Needless to say, when I got home I had a big glass of wine and went to bed. The sun is shining this morning, it's a new day, and there are only 14 days of school left!
