Thee weekend is already over and we're back to the second to last full week of school left this year!!! Friday was a busy day at school. Friday night Scott and I went to Macaroni Grill because he said he needed to appreciate his teacher. Saturday morning we went to Merritt's to get desserts for our Mother's Day brunch and we decided to have breakfast too. Then, we came home and Scott went to the gym and I did my elliptical machine to work off the breakfast we just ate. We met his parents for dinner at Cheddar's, then came home and I decided we should have strawberry daiquiris. I made us a batch and then proceeded to unscrew the blender and spill it all over the cabinet and the floor. Typical Beth moment. WE cleaned it up, made a new batch and watched one of the Indiana Jones movies. Sunday morning we went to church and had Mom's brunch at our house afterwards. It has become a good tradition we started last year. We went to visit Scott's Mom in the afternoon and Mom came over after dinner and we walked 3 miles. It started off so cold yesterday morning and then turned into a beautiful day.
I'm really hoping that next year we will have a baby and Mother's Day will take on a new meaning for us. I almost started to feel all emotional at church about it. There were all these pregnant women everywhere, then they did baby dedication, then the pastor prayed for people who wanted to have children, but hadn't yet. He asked those people to raise their hands, I wasn't going to because we hadn't been trying for a long time like he implied, but Deborah felt like I should. Actually, she elbowed me to do it. I was watching to see what Scott was going to do, he said he figured I would do it, so we had silent miscommunication! So, perhaps next year we will have a baby for Mother's Day, or be awfully close! Happy Monday and there are only 12 days of school left!!

Isn't that what sisters are for? To elbow you during church?deborahpense@sbcglobal.net
You did a nice job of hosting our Mother's day brunch!! Don't stress about getting pregnant...it will happen when it is supposed to.
