Unpacking
Well, a lot has gone on this past week. Last Thursday we closed on our house. That went smoothly, but before our appointment I decided to go to Utica Square and look around and I was in the Coach store and realized I had lost my wedding ring. Just great. Don't worry, Scott eventually found it in the last box. Apparently it had come off while I was packing and it was at the bottom of the box in the peanuts. I think I'm going to get it taken down a half size. Friday the movers came and moved all the big stuff, and every day since then I have spent the mornings unpacking and then in the evening after it is cooler we go over to our old house and bring home more stuff and we start over again. What a vicious cycle. It works out for me, because if everything was in our new house all at once I would get overwhelmed and not get anything done. I think there are only 6 or 7 things left inside the house that wouldn't fit in our cars last night. I have the new house 95% unpacked. The other day I spent 14 hours unpacking. We have a neighborhood pool and every morning Mom has been coming over and we have been swimming laps during the adult swim time from 9:00-10:00. That's my break time. I've been getting up around 6:30 and going full speed. I have planted a new flower bed in the front yard and I even started painting the guest bathroom today. I'm on a roll. I even got up early yesterday morning and mowed the front yard for Scott. I have never mowed before, but it has been so hot out by the time he gets home from work I feel bad that he has to do it. I had it all planned out. I watched how he started the mower last time, and as soon as he left for work yesterday I went out there. I was thinking it was hard to push until I realized I wasn't holding the drive bar. Once I held that down it was easy. Normally Scott mows in a diagonal, but I figured since it was my first time I would just do it straight. It actually turned out straight too. Unfortunately it ran our of gas as soon as I got to the back gate. The gas can was still at out old house, but the front yard looks nice. Scott was surprised. I was done with that by 7:00 in the morning. Pretty impressive huh? Well, I think I have taken a long enough break and I'm going to go hang some pictures up. I know how to use Scott's drill now, so I'm unstoppable.

OMG! I'm glad you found your ring! And, it sounds like you are having a great time settling in at your house. Can't wait to see it!
Good for you mowing!! I did it one time. Brian had to start the mower for me though. He asked me what I would do if something happened to him. I told him, without hesitation, I'd hire a lawn service :)
