Summer Break

I have really been enjoying my first week of summer break. Monday Mom and I ran around running errands and picked up the gift certificate I won and went to the furniture store. It is some fabulous furniture. The prize includes a leather sofa, ottoman, chair, coffee table and end table. Pretty cool huh? It's also in burgundy leather like Dad loves. Tuesday we went to the country club because it was Scott's day off. Mom and I hung out at the pool, and we called Mema and she came to join us. Scott hit some balls at the range and then came out to the pool. I was hoping on getting a tan for Florida, but really ended up getting mostly burned. Not completely red all over, but not just a tiny bit pink either. I guess I'm not good at applying sunscreen consistently all over. Today I went and helped Mom in her garden at Mema's and then we both went back to our own houses and cleaned. Yesterday Scott and I found a fabulous house that we would like to buy. We made an appt. and are going to go look at it on Saturday. It is a totally awesome house and it is twice the size of our current one. It's also going for a great price. But, our friend Nathan from our CG is a home builder and is looking to start a side business with the architect from his job who also happens to be in our CG. He said he could build us a kick ass house for cheap, so we're waiting to see how this house looks and if he can build us our own for a better deal. It's something we're doing a lot of praying over. Tomorrow I'm going to go with Mom to take Mema to her doctors appt. It's by Utica Square so we're going to look there afterwards and hopefully Mema will take us to lunch! Then, if it's not raining we'll be headed back up to Utica Square for Summer's Fifth Night. It will be Deborah's last one with us before she moves. I don't know what's planned for Friday yet. I just know that I love being out for the summer!!!!
